Prices are adjusted with my own increased production cost. This is an extremely time consuming, costly to produce piece of art. Prices have been increased. I hold-off, as long as I can.

'Leafy' (horizontal version) Limited edition bronze of 30 - Year released - 2015
Leafy sea dragons are in the same family as the seahorse. They are delicate and whimsical creatures. Sea dragons are some of the most ornately camouflaged creatures on the planet. Hiding in meadows of seagrass.
This sculpture required a very complex system of molds which I made to create its wax for casting. I designed this sculpture's mold so the waxes poured from the mold would create 'intact' an intricate system of 'gating', or 'sprues' as they are called, to ensure all the delicate leafy appendages will cast all in one casting all in one piece.
The 'sprues' then cast in bronze with the rest of the entire sculpture and have to be painstakingly removed and re-detailed using handheld dental-style air tools. Nothing is added on by using welds afterward. Given its complexity and delicateness, casting it in one solid piece with everything already in place is nothing short of a miracle!
(They cast perfectly every time)
It is a free-standing sculpture, allowing it to be displayed almost anywhere. Creating this sculpture was a challenge for sure, and is a beautiful addition to any collection or décor!
Ships worldwide from TIBURON, California.

Feedback from collectors of this sculpture - Australian Surgeon and his wife:
"Hi, Kirk,
Thank-you!!!
We received the certificate yesterday.
Here she is in a beautiful spot by our pool in Australia... not her permanent home but definitely one that does her beauty justice!
We actually keep her on a beautiful glass-topped, New Guinea rosewood coffee table where we admire her every night.
Thank you for being an artist of meticulous standards.
We hope to engage your talents in the future!"
Kindest regards,
Gem & Rob Schreiber
